Oil and rabbit fur on lace and canvas
14 x 11 in
This piece considers emotional vulnerability through the language of softness. Suggesting a hybrid between woman and prey, the form occupies a space that is both intimate and unsettled. The presence of fur becoming something that exists just beyond the human body, acts as a threshold. Softening the figure while simultaneously distancing it.The fur becomes a conduit for emotion, externalizing what is often kept internal. Vulnerability is not presented as fragility alone, but as something textured and complex and felt at the surface. The boundaries between body, instinct, and perception are blurred.
