According to the World Resources Institute, there will be nearly 10 billion people on Earth by 2050. To feed 10 billion people by 2050, we will need 56% more food than we needed in 2010, at the same time we need to stop the conversion of remaining forests to agricultural land and lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from agricultural production. “How do we feed 10 billion people sustainably by 2050?”

“To make the solution self-sufficient, we bring vertical farms, conventional farms, and a food terminal on to one site. The vertical farms and conventional farms together have the ability to supply the city with fresh produce year-round. In addition, moving farms into the city and integrated with the food terminal also reduces the carbon footprint of transport. By incorporating all of these, we complete the entire process of “farm to plate” within the city.”
