Packaging design for Autism

Graphic Design
2021
This project is about the packaging design of three-game kits for Autism Children.

“According to Wikipedia, Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by difficulties with social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior. Parents often notice signs during the first three years of their child’s life. These signs often develop gradually, though some autistic children experience regression in their communication and social skills after reaching developmental milestones at a normal pace. Why Does It Matter This packaging design is for the Autism spectrum disorder group. As they mature, some children with autism spectrum disorder become more engaged with others and show fewer disturbances in behavior. Some, usually those with the least severe problems, eventually may lead normal or near-normal lives. Others, however, continue to have difficulty with language or social skills, and the teen years can bring worse behavioral and emotional problems.By conducting various researches, I’ve decided to create three gift kits for autism groups, the content of these three kits are:1. Sandbox game, it monitored the social activities for Autism, also help with improving communication skills when playing it with adults.2. Emotion cards, Emotion cards help them recognize different emotions and improve the autism group’s communication skills3. Ring toss game, Ideas on how to use a simple hoop to engage your child in social interaction and help them deepen their eye contact, interest in other people, and their communication skills.I also did some research about autistic children's favorite colors. The drawing style is to imitate children’s drawings to make them feel more comfortable. ”
