Kaleidoscope Projected Installation Process Work
Installation
The interactive component was created using a Raspberry Pi microcontroller connected to various input/output devices. It communicates via Bluetooth with a Raspberry Pi computer connected to a projector, allowing what appears on screen to be manipulated. This computer runs a web app and uses projection mapping techniques to project onto the installation structure. The physical installation structure was inspired by gothic stained glass windows, connecting the installation to the game concept. The structure of the installation is created predominantly out of wood and PVC pieces to create the arch shapes, and thin plywood for the laser cut detail pieces.
