Fleeting Colours "Stay" Graphic Tee

The intention behind this graphic tee was to create a stylish piece of merchandise that both promotes Fleeting Colours as a band and their newly released single “Stay”. The design goal was to produce a wearable piece of music by analyzing/utilizing intersensory associations between music and the formal qualities of art and design.

“The design elements were guided by the musical piece, translating sound characteristics into the formal qualities of art and design through the discovery of intersensory associations between audio and visual elements.Each time section within the song was visually reflected through an associated abstraction, when put together translate into the linear progression of the song. The overlayed lyrical elements combined with these abstractions come together to create a wearable piece of music. Distorted word marks display the band and song name on the front and back graphic to promote their identity.”
