Running doesn’t get you as far as reaching might. I’d grow more fingers if it meant I might reach you faster, bind us sooner, and let us bask in the glow of the divine.
“After much searching, chasing, and suffering, comes UNION. In full saturation and colour, we've found each other. UNION is a depiction of Shakti and Shiva (divine feminine and masculine energy, respectively, in Hinduism) finding each other and uniting. Sindoor is used exclusively in this piece to signify a ‘united’ painting.(Sindoor is a red powder, traditionally turmeric that has been alchemically changed (mixed with limestone, which has a basic PH), to turn from yellow to red. Only married women, not single nor widowed, may wear it on the parting of their hair, to signify her married union.)”
