[Relationship] final project - LifeWhat is the most important relationship to you? Most people probably talk about friends, family, or lovers. But what about the one relationship that goes with you everywhere? The crucial relationship that deserves attention is our one with life itself. The [Relationship] series adds another layer to our connection to life, reminding us of the value of single moments.
“Life is like being in the middle of an ocean where nothing can be expected. People set their own standards and make plans, but our fate is fixed - to sink and perish. So, what can you do when a large or small wave hits you while floating? There are two choices. Either you are helplessly pushed around, or you are easily swimming in the flow.Baruch Spinoza, a philosopher, saw the latter as true freedom - being rationally aware of the flow of the inevitable world and just accepting it. His thoughts gave me strength for a lifetime. Even in my short life, I constantly compared myself to others, felt sad, depressed, and struggled. When all my efforts were not paying off, I hurt as if the world had abandoned me. However, in the end, time passed, and comfortable days returned. Now, I happily accept the whole process, as everything has been predetermined. If you're a person, you may feel sick from the feeling that cannot be returned, feel bad for yourself and be miserable, or become pessimistic about the world due to unfortunate incidents. However, if you're alive, you can smile again. I know myself being happy with a slice of pizza. It’s easy to imagine myself grinning again while watching TV shows with my favourite person.Although inevitable misfortune may be rampant in this world, I hope you and I can enjoy swimming in the sea abundantly.”
