“In my art practice, I work primarily with analog mediums, such as film and videotape, to explore themes of nostalgia, existentialism and anxiety inspired by twentieth-century philosophy. I create experimental film works, mainly on 16mm film, and I go through the entire production and post-production process utilizing analog equipment. I use animation as a tool rather than a format by scratching and painting on top of the celluloid. Through using such analog mediums in an increasingly digital and fast-paced world, I try to cope with my own anxieties with the passage of time, and dysphoria. This film responds to my main body of work by using twentieth century ideas, through the use of analog material and experimental animation. ”
