This artwork depicts a partially eaten apple core standing upright against a blue and red draped background. Within the core, two miniature faces are intricately drawn, blending into the apple’s texture. The base of the scene features Persian tazhib, reminiscent of traditional miniature designs. The piece combines a surreal and symbolic composition that fuses natural decay with miniature portraiture.
“Blending Persian miniature tradition with contemporary narratives of identity, gender, memory, and transformation.”
