11" x 17"
“Easy as Pie" discusses the irony of accepting culture through cuisine while discriminating against the people who create it.Of course, having a taste for taco salads and being racist are not mutually exclusive. While the starry-eyed idea that food allows us to experience, and therefore accept other cultures might be an easy one, it’s unfortunately not true. (McNeilly, 2017)
“Hierarchies of Taste' critiques the divisiveness of the food industry by reinterpreting common food idioms, exposing how invisible barriers prevent food’s ability to bring people together.”
