As one of the first pieces that started my journey of the exploration of my roots and memory, 'Munnar Tea Leaves' is an Oil painting that shares a core memory of one of my visits to India. Painted with just a palette knife, this work incorporates an understanding of land, texture, and saturation. Most of the memories I personally have of India are consistently filtered as warm-toned scenery. Expressing a specific depiction of land that I'm trying to hold on to.
