“I combined an industrial metal zipper with soft red felt. I machine-sewed in the zipper, hand-stitched the outer with blanket stitch, individually stuffed both sides, and quilted them together with French knots of red yarn. The shape looks like a tongue, the feminine form, or when turned on its side, a mouth.”
