“TRÄNA is a proposed design collaboration between IKEA and CAP Barbell. It is a multi-functional piece of exercise furniture giving those with limited space and budget the most versatile exercise routines possible in the convenience of their own home.In the form of an ottoman/bench that fits tastefully into a variety of living spaces, it comes with multiple purchasing options. Each option has different exercise possibilities depending on the experience and goals of the user, as well as equipment they may already own. TRÄNA can be used for a variety of workout routines from bodyweight training, HIIT, aerobic, functional, mobility, resistance, and strength training. Any added equipment needed to supplement these routines can be stored inside. When not being used for exercise reverts back to its original furniture form.At a time when prioritizing physical and mental health is of utmost importance, my intention is to provide anyone, regardless of their living situation, access to a complete array of exercises and routine possibilities.”
