“This work is designed to support and protect dogs following amputation, while also providing convenience for owners during daily handling. The materials have been carefully selected for durability, breathability, waterproofing, and ease of cleaning. Each garment is thoughtfully crafted based on an understanding of canine physiology and psychology to ensure the dog’s needs are met. For example, the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter outdoor pieces feature vests inserted between layers to protect the dog’s ribcage, preventing falls and other potential injuries. Reflective fabric ensures visibility during nighttime walks, while metal rings at the back provide secure leash attachment. The Spring/Summer outdoor piece also includes removable leg parts that attach with zippers, allowing the garment to transform from a full-body piece into a gilet. This feature offers flexibility, enabling owners to adjust the outfit based on the weather. The indoor piece incorporates "cookie stretch" technology, designed to aid in muscle and tendon recovery by encouraging daily exercise. Colour choices have been made with canine colour therapy in mind, with each of the three inner lining options specifically chosen to relax, calm, and boost healing for the dog’s overall health. Furthermore, the designs have been adjusted based on feedback from a dog owner whose pet has undergone amputation, ensuring the garment meets real-world needs”
