Topic: Oil Spills – oceans and coastal waters are polluted by oil every day; oil spills, shipping, dumping, drains and sewage pipes. The toxic chemicals contaminate the aquatic ecosystems and are a danger to habitats and its marine life. Oil cannot dissolve in water, causing thick sludge to collect on the surface. Common Human Activity/Object: Feeding a pet Synthesis: A tank full of fish represents the ocean where aquatic life roam. Instead of feeding them fish food, a barrel of oil is being spilled in the tank and is seeping into the water, contaminating its ecosystem.

“Oil is deliberately being poured inside a fish bowl, damaging and contaminating the ecosystem within. ”
