occupy/ied is a stop motion animation of various objects 2 people have collected throughout their adult life. By making them the focus of this animation we are hoping to honor our relationships with the places we’ve been, the places we are in and the places we have yet to be. Traces of our experiences are imprinted onto the objects we hold, we collect, we hoard (the ones we keep under our bed, we all have one). In bringing out our most prized possessions for the people to see, we are asking them to recognize in themselves the ways in which they project their identities, memories and experiences onto the land they stand on. vimeo password: sweeteners
