Knot by Blood² is a 3D-animated short film that follows a duo of space-bounty hunters on their latest mission to retrieve a weapon cache.Directed by Erin Chen.

“I had the great honour of directing, producing, and animating this short film for my Thesis Film over the last 7 months! As an animator, I completed the majority of the animation within 3 months which was definitely a big step for me. I pushed me to constantly maximize my time and work extremely efficiently. I have learnt and grown so much, not just as an animtor, but as a person. I was lucky to have worked with so many talented creatives and bring everyone's work together to create this film! Knot by Blood² is inspired by an up-and-coming style of animation that takes Japanese anime and combines it with aspects of 3D. However, unlike 3D-anime styles that try to mimic the 2D look of anime through techniques like cel-shading, I wanted to make something that looks inspired by anime while still embracing and looking very obviously 3D. I wanted to create a story that was light-hearted, silly, and dialogue focused which would also allow me to practice my acting and lipsync.I am beyond proud of myself and every single person who has left their mark on this project. ”
