Reconnection

Reconnection is an interactive audio/visual experience that reminds audiences of the memory of interconnectedness and Unity shared by all different forms of existence.Recalling this memory of interconnectedness helps elevate human suffering from diasporic senses, as humanity is going to face major transitions in the form of their life (like migration to other planets or experiencing no boundaries between humans, machines and other biological and non-biological entities) that could cause diasporic senses.

“ Inspired by finding the same message among different cultures and literature, this work used some representative data from different categories, like: ancient Persian architecture based on Illumination philosophy, astronomical videos that represent the spiral movement of all galaxies which results in singularity, or audio element of the work that is, voices talking or reading text to bring the same concept to the mind of experiencers.All the visuals react to the audio that is played by a cassette player.Juxtaposing these different layers of data and designing this space/time experience, this work intends to create an interactive space which reminds audiences of the memory of interconnectedness. By harmonizing digital technologies—including AI-generated 3D models, later crafted in Blender, interactivities designed in TouchDesigner, and integration of digital and physical computing—this installation creates a sensory-rich space where different layers of data actually and metaphorically echo the message of unity and interconnectedness.Ultimately, Reconnection aspires to evoke a collective memory, prompting visitors to recognize and re-engage with the profound unity underlying our shared existence.”
