A Typeface inspired by historic Scotland and the Gaelic language, ‘Argyll’ takes elements from uncial and medieval, Art Nouveau forms and uses them in a more contemporary context. Argyll is a connection to my lineage in Argyle and Bute in the highlands of Scotland. It is an exploration and appreciation of culture and the Gaelic-speaking community.

“Argyll is a gesture of connection between place and language, past and present, personal and cultural. This typeface is both an offering and an act of remembrance, rooted in the rhythms of Gaelic and the landscape of the Scottish Highlands.”
