Monkey Bar

Monkey Bar is a short stop-motion animated comedy that balances the silly and the existential. The film follows a sad monkey outside a bar grappling with their harsh reality by having a smoke. It is filled with quick-witted non-stop humour from wordplay to physical comedy. The title pokes fun at the classic jungle gym item by interpreting it literally. The goal of this project was to make a very short film that remained poignant, nonsensical, and captivating. Comedy is often an underlooked facet of storytelling, and I wanted to explore its potential through short form content.
