“These series of four paintings illustrates fictional scenarios that are heavily based on my memories of the Philippines. Each image depicts different moments I remember being a part of, like, playing out at the streets with my friends. The illustrations can be seen as concept art keyframes for a possible animated feature or even as the film stills themselves. I created this series with the idea of representation in the media such as animated films and my motivation to contribute to that. I wanted to showcase what it was like living in the Philippines as a child. ”
