Letterpress printed on handmade paper, coptic bound in stoneware tablets by Danielle Sawada
5in x 7in x 2.5 in
After a discussion with Akash Inbakumar about the idea of a clay-bound book and explorations of material agency, I wrote and printed this poem to be bound between clay tablets. The resulting body warms in the sunlight or cools in the dark and when holding it to interact it's presence has weight unusual for the size of such book. the pictured covers are made by my mother Danielle Sawada, and there is a varied edition of 6. printed on a vandercooke machine with handmade paper and coptic bound. I printed the pages the last day the studios were open in 2020
