Brass Knuckles-shaped Ring

Inspired by the brass knuckles in a martial arts movie, the ring imitates the shape of a brass knuckle. The upper part of the container can be pulled open, which hides a heart-shaped maze inside. Synthetic zircon beads can enter the tube from the maze to form a loop.

“The marble maze game is made of multiple materials by different manufacturers in the market. The prototype of my childhood memory is a plastic ruler with a maze game inside. This kind of ruler was once very popular in primary schools in China. Because students were not allowed to bring any electronic devices to school, this kind of game ruler and other interesting stationery became popular during that period.Personally, I am good at observing objects around me and derive pleasure from observation, so my ideas for designs all come from daily life. To illustrate it, there are multiple creative forms that I designed for this series: a ring that can be pulled apart like a drawer, a pendant like a heart-shaped gift box that can be opened, a ring in a regular form but divided into two parts to wear, a ring like brass knuckles in a martial-arts movie, a ring shaped like a spinning egg toy, and a belt accessory shaped like an hour glass.”
