Detour

This painting is inspired by a mountain journey at over 8,000 feet. Winding, rain-soaked roads and sharp edges created a feeling of movement and uncertainty. An unexpected path into unfamiliar terrain added to this sense of the unknown, while the wet surface reflected a quiet atmosphere. Using layered textures and muted acrylic colors, Detour captures the feeling of uncertainty and discovery, creating an image that moves between abstraction and suggestion.
