If there is one thing GenZ love more than TikTok, it's an ad that is doing something a little quirky or unusual. With that in mind, I created The Footlong Mug. A footlong-sized mug to pair nicely with the Footlong Cookie. Conventionally impractical, but played as a gag to get GenZ thinking about the Footlong Cookie again. We live in an age where GenZ has grown up around immense amounts of advertising constantly in their face that they have gained ad fatigue, especially from stereotypical ads. So I wanted to create something playful for GenZ to think about on their way to school/work and post/talk about with people around them when the OOH falls into their path. This will not just reinforce Subway's brand identity as fun but also get the Footlong Cookie back in their minds.To take a step further, Subway will release a limited number of the Footlong Mugs to give away spontaneously as people buy the Footlong Cookie to push for organic social media engagement around the absurdity of receiving this massive mug. This project, at its core, is designed to spark curiosity and get them wondering "Why did Subway make this?" Just so Subway and the Footlong Cookie are at the front of their mind. So when they have a craving, the first thing they are thinking about is Subway. In the end, it is all about getting the Subway brand talked about, shared around, and followed back for more.
