Memento
Painting
The memories, hidden between the pages. Mementos of a past chapter, growing bittersweet. Based on my own experience of burying mementos between book pages, the painting approaches my own memories from a fictionalized perspective. The birds wedged between the pages act as poignant vessels for past memories, while the action of hiding them between the pages is seen as both supression and letting go. They lie dormant, waiting for one day to be rediscovered. What was once painful will grow to be bittersweet.
