One Day to the Next

This is a multi-channel installation called, “One Day to the Next" that will be displayed on several monitors at Sankofa Square (formerly Yonge-Dundas).

“Through a series of animations, I explore themes of past memories, human connection, and self-identity. I utilize three different scenes to represent different relationships that we develop in our past (familial, self, and peer connection), many of which inform our future. This piece relates to the themes of Sankofa Square of rebirth and progress by showing a reflection of one’s past; a crucial thing to consider when moving towards future growth. These themes are important to me because I will soon be reaching a transitional period in my life after graduation, and in order to keep moving towards the future, I believe that you still need to look back at the progress that led you there.”
