1. The Outsider

Netflix released a movie called “The Outsider”, following an American who becomes member of the Yakuza (Japanese organized crime syndicate). In the movie, the Yakuza are depicted as a bloodthirsty and ruthless. It breaks traditions set by the Yakuza, and rather focuses on an American rather than actual Japanese actors. The illustration mimics this idea of the film, with an American breaking the longstanding traditions while displaying the characteristics of the American.
