Light Installation I

2018 - Collaboration w/ David Khazam

“This light installation was created as an experiment using industry-standard light fixtures. The goal of this work was to create an immersive environment using light and sound. Designed for a room where black drapes covering each wall, lights were digitally mapped to react and respond to the music that was playing. As the music played, lights would turn on and off.In this work, there were moments of complete darkness and the audience would lose the sense of where they stood in the room; when the lights turned back on again individuals would find themselves amongst others.This artwork was created as a way to examine the dialectics of loneliness and the isolation we feel even amongst other people.”
