“This piece shows the Shakchunni bound beneath a tree, trapped in a snake nest and enclosed within an egg. A snake coils around the tree above her, reinforcing her confinement. It reflects how, even in death, she is caught in a cycle of longing shaped by marriage and patriarchal control, preventing her from fully completing a transformation toward freedom and autonomy.”
