“Body, Metal and Space”

Metal and skin, the jewellery and human body, are like the relationship between people and architecture. The collection is an exploration of the integration of architecture and jewellery through using my interpretation of architect Zaha Hadid's design philosophy and jewellery making techniques. The collection consists of three pieces of conceptual jewellery that are collaborations of contemporary art style and traditional silversmith techniques and classic material.

Bangle

The design of this bangle brings my discussion of the connection of human body and architecture to life. The bangle as a small sculpture itself is emphasised on structure. It imitates the concept of the outer structure of architecture.

The earecuffs emphasis on the flow and the repitetion of the linear element that is shown in the design of Hayder Aliyev Center. Its form visually wraps and flows with the shape of the ear.

With a flowy overall structure, the design for this piece emphasised on the sense of layering. The parts go between fingers are designed to fit well. It is not only a ring but also a small sculpture by itself.
