Elva Ma is an emerging Chinese jeweller and jewellery designer based in Toronto. Her inspirations come from everywhere such as daily life, her memories even her hobbies. Her most recent collections explore the integration of architecture and jewellery. Her design style can be identified as bold, structural, and three-dimensional. She makes the maximum use of the physical properties of the metal from aspects of the form and surface treatment. Following the principle of minimalism, she uses minimal ornamentations to express the structure, and the spatial connection between surface and surface, form and form.
