Space For Memory

Creating a liminal space, these mixed-media paintings tell a narrative through the malleability of time. A transcripted conversation between family members is written on the back, depicting the figure. The image on the front is an interpretation of these stories. The once separate realities are sewn, cut, and placed layered on top of each other. Using a narrative element to transcend a specific time frame- everything is happening at once.
