01 For Jurying Consideration

This body of work dissects how queerness impacts familial relationships, deconstructing harmful cultural notions associated with queerness resulting from institutional/religious ideologies. Consisting of two components: an initial set of paintings dissecting themes of sexuality and primitive stereotypes that apply. This initial body of work underwent the process of decreation with fire preserved through projection mapping. The resulting ashes were used in the production of the final body of work
