Knitting childhood memories

The skirt represents the memories of my childhood in Iran, also, its colourful textures are symbolic of the euphoric years I had in Iran as a kid. After moving to Canada, my childhood colour palette appears as another element that tangles me to my new life as it also contains the colour palette found in Canadian nature.

Textural surface is a symbolic way to visualize the affect my memories have had on my mind. The way they have carved and cemented themselves into my mind and my soul which has resulted in the manifestation of my current identity and character.
