“Just Another Wild Night in Wizard City explores the themes of urban life, modernization, and conformity using the visual motifs of a medieval fantasy world. The fantasy motif is meant to in part disconnect the events within the illustration from the real world and truly highlight the absurdity of the behaviors and actions within.This in turn is meant to have the viewer rethink the ideas of the norm.”
Ian Silang is an illustrator and florist whose work is vibrant, bold, and rich in its details. His design knowledge and hands-on experience with making floral arrangements gives him a unique eye towards composition, color palettes, and textural details.Wizards, dragons, and medieval fantasy inform a lot of his designs as they've been of interest to him from an early age. This interest in developing a fantasy setting is what ignited his passion for design and illustration.
