“Manifestations of the Traumatized Mind is a series of illustrations depicting what the residual symptoms of trauma feel like to survivors. The body of work is created with the goal to educate viewers and to give representation those who struggle with these complex feelings.”
Amanda Caird is an illustrator and storyteller based in Ontario, Canada. You will almost always find Amanda listening to music, which heavily inspires her work. The art she creates is diverse, investigating topics ranging from fun and light hearted to serious and heavy. Amanda works in many different mediums, but thrives in traditional media such as pen/ink, alcohol marker, and pencil crayon. She aspires to illustrate (and maybe even write) graphic novels, comics, and children’s books!
