Tara
Hiller
“I create artwork through memories and feelings of nature. I find inspiration from the texture of tree bark and the intricacy within leaves. I use repetitive patterns to emulate the complex simplicity of the natural world. Intricacy and details are critical in my art making, producing abstracted areas within the larger work that are arranged on the paper creating a harmonious and unanimous composition.”
Tara Hiller is a local practicing artist currently based in Toronto, Ontario. She works mainly with ink and paper, drawing nature scenes. She collects inspiration from serene and tranquil landscapes. Her work is often drawn partly from photographs she takes on her walks and partly from memory. Tara plans on expanding her series of landscape drawings in the English countryside for the next couple of years.
