Kassi Sheppard is a Multidisciplinary Textile Artist and Photographer who works predominantly with the body as it relates to nature. She is most inspired by the idea of making wearable art and emphasizes sustainability in everything she does by using organic materials and natural dyes. Her work centers around themes of empowerment, sexuality, questioning femininity and socially constructed ideals specifically pertaining to preconceived notions of nudity and censorship in mainstream media that are imposed on women, in hopes of creating a new perspective and dialogue about how we view and inhabit gender constructs.She currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
