I create value with one foot in design and the other in art. If art is a performative expression of truth, design is more about imposing meaningful order through iteration and problem solving methods. Where do the two meet? Where do they diverge and why?As an artist, my goal is to make images that evoke a powerful emotional response for the viewer. Colour, composition and attention to detail helps me do this. Layer after layer, images grow to inhabit space on the canvas. It is a joy to an image maker because I have no idea what will emerge.
