Julia is a Métis Artist from Toronto. From a young age she would take her mom's camera to photograph her friends and family until she got her own film camera when she was seventeen. She was infatuated with taking portraits and painting portraits in high school, and that soon transferred into documentary portrait. She focuses on story-telling through her artwork, and enjoys the hands-on experience of film photography and working closely with her subject to create the most authentic viewing experience. She is graduating from OCAD University, obtaining a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts - Integrated Media with a Minor in Photography.
