“"Lingual lore" is a poster merchandise series that explores the concept of the evolution of language by visually representing the past definitions, translations, or folk etymologies of ten common words in the English language.”
…From the moment I picked up a pen, I spent every second scribbling on anything I could get my hands on... This wonderful mix of vandalism and curiosity led him to pursue a career as an illustrator. Beginning with two years studying at S.C.A.D. Atlanta and culminating in his bachelor's of Design from OCADU Toronto. This sparked a love for the practice of illustration and has allowed him to devote all of his time and energy to improving his technique and honing his skills. David was born in Burlington Ontario but spent the majority of his childhood growing up in a small town in North Carolina. The rolling hills and open vistas of rural life left him with a passion for landscape painting and he enjoys finding ways to incorporate some of these small-town motifs into his practice. Living In Toronto you can often run into him exploring the markets for tasty treats or looking for a nice sunny spot to sit and sketch. Some of his hobbies include running and longboarding, and if you’re lucky can find him at the local Irish pub singing his heart out to shanties on a Friday night.
