Curation and Writing
“Ella’s work engages with pedagogies of place, queer theory, community-based projects and gardening. Using auto-theory as a place to begin, Ella's writing finds space for critical theory in the scribbles on the margins of pages, interlaced within poetry, and in the pages of personal journals.”
Ella Taylor is a curator, writer and artist based in the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nations in Tkaronto. Ella is currently completing a year-long curatorial residency with WIA projects and is working as lead curatorial researcher alongside Pam Patterson and two graduate students at the 113 Research Gallery at OCAD University. In 2023, Ella completed their BFA in Criticism and Curatorial Practice with a minor in Art and Social Change at OCAD University.
