“Feathered Friends looks at how humans have benefitted from birds through our history, mythology, and present day, to show the strange and complex ways that people try to connect with creatures unlike themselves.”
My name is Gillian Goulet (Jill-ee-ann Goo-lay), and I'm a children's illustrator, designer and artist. My work largely focuses on themes of exploration, adventure and fun. I particularly like drawing animals, landscapes, and people, and in all my work I value inclusion, fostering a sense of belonging, and looking for something exciting in everyday situations. I work in a variety of media, including acrylic gouache, inks, watercolour, digital media, and paper cut, but my favourite medium is acrylic gouache. I primarily create work for children and teenagers, but I also love working in branding, editorial and graphic design.
