aka. Stacy Athena May, Drawing & Painting
“Art is my form of communication and I am developing, through the lexicon of shape, line, and colour, a new visual language. This language is one of transition — and fundamentally queer. It is informed by, and infused with, my trans identity that focuses on abstracting the world around me to express my interiority and experiences.”

Stacy Athena May is an abstract painter and classically trained draughtswoman working out of Toronto. She earned her BFA at OCAD U in 2024 with a major in Drawing and Painting and a personal emphasis on the philosophies of art and aesthetics. Stacy is working toward developing her own visual language informed by her experiences of being queer.
