Laiba Malik is an artist based in Mississauga and is studying animation at OCAD U using programs such as Toon Boom Harmony and Procreate. She works in multiple mediums, mixing traditional with digital and vice-versa. Mostly focused on the female gaze and character work/illustrations. Her work has included artistic and independent passion projects that fulfill her creatively such as the thesis project she is currently working on tying in her love for poetry as well as experimenting with found footage and mixed media. Right now she is working on getting her degree, an internship or freelance work that would benefit her portfolio and work and create a repertoire of experiences hoping to open her own studio someday.
