Michelle
Vu
aka. crea, Pixel Artist and Game Designer
“The name, crea, comes from the word "create", and it refers to my desire to fill my works with a warm and hopeful atmosphere while also touching upon the fleetingness and delicate nature of having to grow up. My latest work, Heart of the Past, is a 2D role-playing, narrative game that explores the concept of reconnecting with oneself and rekindling one’s love for making art when considering to give up. The game's overall message is to have faith in one’s own abilities, and the unique voice each individual carries.”
Michelle 'crea' Vu (any) is a Toronto-based digital illustrator, pixel artist, and game designer whose core work is based on creating dreamlike imagery to explore the boundaries between reality and fantasy. Michelle is a graduate of OCADU, receiving her BFA with a major of Experimental Animation and a minor in Games and Play.Michelle currently works at the Canada Revenue Agency as a UX/UI Designer for the Innovation Accelerator Program. In her personal time, she continues to pursue ambitious projects and enjoys partaking in game jams!
