“Buddy is a three-minute 2D animated film made with Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe After Effects. Buddy is about a lonely robot suffering from a nightmare but overcomes its fear by meeting a dog in the forest. It focuses on the elements of the loneliness and frustration the robot feels after waking up from a nightmare changes to joy after a dog comes into life. The aesthetic of the background and characters are inspired by Studio Ghibli Animations where they use detailed backgrounds but simple characters. I hope people can think of the dog character as their beloved pet or any kind of support system they have, and relate to the film. ”
