Environmental and Interior Design
“As a designer, I strive to create immersive and multi-functional interior environments that enrich the human experience. My thesis aimed to explore these interests further within retail design, re-evaluating the purpose a brick-and-mortar serves their customers and ways in which brands can reformulate their stores to survive within this retail apocalypse.”
One of the most impactful experiences I have had through my education was the semester I spent in Los Angeles at Otis college of art and design. I explored using narratives as a starting point for my projects to fully grasp the lifestyle, emotions, and needs of the users I was designing for. The skills that I developed in those short four months gave me a new confidence in my design abilities, setting myself on a good foundation starting my final year at OCAD. Currently I am working at a firm where we develop signage, branding and spatial planning solutions for stores. Moving forward, I am excited to create more memorable learning experiences in the professional world.
