“I'm interested in human-centred design and social innovation for the betterment of the community. Through the use of multidisciplinary practice and intersectional lenses, I design with empathy to consider the perspectives of those I'm creating for.”
Growing up, I've always been passionate about creating art and understanding humanity. I completed the Foundation Year Programme and a bachelor of arts in psychology at University of King's College and Dalhousie University in Halifax, and then worked in clinical psychology administration for a time. Disillusioned with the current system that prizes profit over mental health, I decided to go in a completely different direction and completed an Ontario College Certificate in Arts Fundamentals at Sheridan College. The logical next step for me was to bridge my interest in arts with my interest in social health, and from there I entered the Design for Health graduate program at OCADu. I hope to continue this marriage of art and health as I move forward in my career, with the ultimate goal of helping others and maybe even changing the system.
